We co-founded Dragonfruit in 2019. Over six years, we deployed camera-based AI across airports, retail chains, warehouses, manufacturing plants, and theme parks. 100,000+ cameras. Fortune 500 customers. Some of the largest physical security deployments in the world.
Along the way, we kept noticing the same thing. The cameras saw everything. Spills on the floor. Workers without hard hats. Pallets blocking emergency exits. Trucks sitting in the yard for two hours longer than they should.
But the cameras didn't do anything. They recorded. They archived. And when something went wrong, someone pulled the footage and watched the incident they could have prevented.
Mantid exists because we got tired of building cameras that watch and wanted to build cameras that protect.
The AI models are the same production-grade models we built at Dragonfruit. Same engineering team. Same training data from 100,000 live cameras. Same edge-first architecture. We just gave them a name and a mission: make every camera a safety and operations sensor.
